Our History

DG Advising emerged from the collaboration between David Gandolfo OAM and David Gill, following their tenure as President and CEO, respectively, of the Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia (CAFBA), the peak national body in Commercial Finance. Their joint leadership saw them actively engage in international conferences on equipment and commercial leasing in the United States and Canada, fostering a profound understanding of global dynamics. Fondly referred to as "the two David's" by their American colleagues, they discerned a burgeoning international interest in establishing operations in Australia, yet recognised a reluctance due to the lack of local insights. Thus, DG Advising was established.

Both David's boast an extensive track record within the Australian commercial finance sector, having held senior positions across various domains for numerous years. Their wealth of experience, knowledge, and industry connections uniquely position DG Advising to guide foreign entities seamlessly through the process of establishing operations in Australia while facilitating access to key stakeholders.

Furthermore, DG Advising extends its expertise to support local businesses in achieving their strategic objectives, including the facilitation of wholesale funding arrangements both domestically and overseas. Among our current clients are an equipment vendor finance company and a UK bank, both seeking to explore and capitalise on opportunities within the Australian market.
