David Gandolfo, OAM
Partner
David Gandolfo has over 30 years of Executive experience in Commercial Finance, co-founding and running the highly successful Quantum Business Finance (QBF) which facilitates over $550 million in commercial loans annually and is considered among the “Best in Practice” in Australia.
A visionary leader, David also conceived and co-founded the Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia (CAFBA), which has become the country’s peak commercial finance industry organisation. CAFBA has wielded considerable influence as an advocate and advisor to government and industry on matters of policy and process for Commercial and Asset Finance.
David's impact extends far beyond the boardroom. As a longstanding Director and former Deputy-Chair of the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia (COSBOA), he has been instrumental in shaping policies and submissions aimed at enhancing access to finance for Small Businesses, thus leaving an indelible imprint on the fabric of the Australian business ecosystem.
In addition to his extensive governance board portfolio, David holds the distinction of being a Certified Advisory Board Chair, lending his expertise to advisory roles across Australia and New Zealand.
David has gained an international reputation of being an industry and category thought leader. Through CAFBA, he champions the cause of ensuring quality outcomes for commercial borrowers while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, education, equality, and diversity within the sector.
David's stature as a formidable connector within both political and business landscapes is unmatched. His counsel is sought after in pivotal debates and strategies affecting the finance sector, leading to engagements with top government agencies including Treasury, Prime Minister and Cabinet. His views and insights find resonance in mainstream Australian media, with publications in prestigious outlets such as The Age, the Australian Financial Review and The Australian newspapers.
In a crowning achievement, David's illustrious contributions to the financial sector were recognised in the 2023 Australia Day Honours List, where he was bestowed with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), a testament to his unwavering commitment and service.

David Gill, CLFP

David boasts an illustrious 40-year career in lease finance, showcasing unparalleled expertise across diverse commercial finance realms.
His career commenced with a swift ascent from a finance company to the National Australia Bank’s (NAB) Corporate Leasing Division. There, he honed his craft, specialising in high-stakes leverage and partnership leases. Later, he transitioned to the corporate leasing team at Westpac Institutional Bank, adding depth to his repertoire.
In 1996, David made a pivotal move to Societe Generale in Sydney, assuming the role of Director of Asset Based Finance. Leading the charge in origination and management of wholesale commercial finance products, he steered the division to new heights.
In 2006, fueled by entrepreneurial spirit, David and the Managing Director of Societe Generale Equipment Finance embarked on their own lease finance venture. This flourished and was eventually acquired in 2012 by an Australian publicly listed company.
During his tenure as CEO of the Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia from 2012 to 2023, David orchestrated transformative initiatives, cementing his legacy in the national landscape of commercial finance.
David’s contributions extends beyond organisational realms. He has lent his expertise to the Australian Equipment Lessors Association Council (now AFIA) and served as a Director of the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia (COSBOA).
Notably, in 2017, David achieved a landmark milestone as the first Australian to earn the Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) designation on Australian soil, following his successful graduation in the US.
